Game Engine

The game engine has several original facets.
Squad Creation: The unit building will be the old RTS standard.
ONE AT A TIME!
Once you have a few units built,
Say: 4 Regular foot troops, and 2 AA Missile launchers,
Select the 6 Units, and press the Squad Creation hotkey, or click it on the Command Bar.
Once the Button is clicked, A dialog Box will appear asking for the Name of the squad.
Enter the Name:
(ie. AA Unit One)
The new squad now appears on the build infantry bar as a one click rebuild.
(That is, you click the Icon for AA Unit One, and Immediately the 6 troops begin being built.)
Unit Creation:
When you build units in the build bar, the number of units you build is distributed to all of the available production buildings.
(Ie. 5 Infantry and 4 Barracks; The 4 barracks each begin production of an Infantry, and then the final infantry is produced after the other 4.)
We are talking Major Awesomeness Here.
SandBox Mode:
This Mode is used after completing a mission. If you wanted to make an amazing team of awesome units in a squad, then you could go back to the main forward base for your particular army, and use the leftover collected resources from the previous battles to build units at a premium price but lower build time. These built units can become both build icons for your upcoming battles, and reinforcements that can be instantly summoned to hte map when in battle.

Campaigns

Organization of the campaigns, campaign content, missions, etc.

Your Homework for your free time.

I am asking all of you to play a video game in your free time.
I know that sounds weird, but I need you all to learn about your rts's.
I'm giving my copy of Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge to Seth for a few weeks, so he can learn what one is.
Figure out units, And give me rough concept art on monday.
Remember:
The Units are specific to the country. Some units are similar but have different strengths and weaknesses.
Buildings: Similar Idea, but are the key to unlocking production for the new techs and units that are so outlandish and very unique to each side.
A superweapon for each side.
Maps
Missions
Story Improves
Yep, think about that today and tonight. Bring me ideas on monday, I mean, if you have stuff today, give it to me.

Faction Territory

2208 AD
Red is Survivalist
Blue is Resistance

Easter Eggs

Ha-ha-ha!!!

New Posts, Images thereof.

If you scan images of drawings for units building maps etc...
Send them to this email,
monkofevil.hollisgame@blogger.com
They will be saved as a draft on the dashboard.
Then just go into the dashboard and post them.
Make a new post category under the applicable build tree.
Buildings, infantry, etc

Buildings

Let's decide on the various buildings, their maintenance, interface, etc. How you build them, resource costs, power, what builds them, etc.

Units

Let's talk about the kind of units we want the game to have. Do we want only two different sets of units, one for each faction, or are we going to make different units for every single nation? Also, will you be able to select which nation you play as within your faction?

Story

So basically here's our story disambiguation.
200 years in the futures, and humanity has finally found a way to travel through curved space very quicky. Up until now we have been holding on to he belief that we are the only intelligent life in the universe.
Yeah, we were wrong.
We basically get the aliens very angry about our new technology because we are now a threat to their dominance. (Yes there are other aliens... No, maybe in the sequel. NO Seth... ShaLaLomb)
We're basically given about 4 years to live.
There's is this Theoretical Engineer "Jordan Fereman"
No, not really...
But Yeah, 4 years to live.
So the human race is seperated into 2 factions.
Those who want to fight,
Those who want to lay down and surrender to the Alien Overlords
I think it's time for a list!

Those who want to fight:
Africa
Middle East
Asia
Germany
British Isles
(United States Govt. But that is not the United States)
Japan
Russia

Those who want to just lay down and die:
America
France
Everywhere else in Europe (Unless Mentioned already.)
Antartica (Campaign Stuff!!!!)
All of the americas
Cuba

That's your countries to design units for.
Have fun-desu

Resources

I think it would be good to agree upon some resources. How many resources do we want to have? 3, 5, more? What kinds of resources should there be? Are they limited in supply? Do they regenerate over time? If so, how long? Also, which resources are necessary for which units?
